Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is woven into the fabric of everyday life at SGHS. We believe that nurturing emotional intelligence is just as important as academic success. Through age-appropriate life skills sessions, circle time, peer interactions, and mindfulness practices, children learn to identify their emotions, build resilience, resolve conflicts, and practice empathy.
Our SEL program helps students understand themselves and others—equipping them to form healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and make responsible decisions. Leadership opportunities, class responsibilities, and guided reflections strengthen character and self-awareness. By empowering students to manage their thoughts and feelings, SGHS creates a school culture that is inclusive, respectful, and rooted in care.
